Zones runs with every feature free for 7 days from first launch.
When the trial ends, Shift-drag snapping stops until you activate a license. Settings and the layout editor stay available.
A license is a one-time purchase of $9.99. It lets you use Zones on up to 3 Macs at a time.
To move it to another Mac, remove it in Zones Settings or deactivate that Mac in the Polar customer portal.
The license doesn't expire. Don't share your key with other people or resell it.
Your license includes at least one year of updates from the day you buy. Zones checks for updates in the app.
A future paid major version would be sold separately, and the version you have keeps working.
Polar (polar.sh) is the merchant of record. It handles checkout, payment, sales tax and VAT, receipts, and invoices, and its terms apply to the purchase.
You can get a refund within 14 days of buying, through the Polar customer portal or by emailing support@givdul.com. A refund revokes the license key, and Zones removes the license the next time it checks it.
Zones moves and resizes windows through the macOS Accessibility permission, which you grant and can remove in System Settings.
Zones and its source code are proprietary, and Hansen Software reserves all rights. Don't copy, modify, or redistribute the app, except to install it on your own Macs.
The privacy policy explains what Zones sends during license and update checks.
Zones is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, Hansen Software isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses from using Zones, and its total liability is limited to what you paid for your license.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.
These terms are governed by Norwegian law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
If these terms change, the date at the top changes. Changes don't take away a license you already bought.
